Android gets iTunes solution? Apple buys lala.

Techcrunch reported last Friday that Apple purchased the streaming music service lala.  Lala is an iTunes replacement of sorts where you can import your music from iTunes and it matches yours songs with a streaming counterpart.  Essential you could take iTunes anywhere.

Last October you may remember that Google launched an integrated music search and the results were predominantly from the music service lala.  So here is the big question.  Will Apple's purchase of lala lead to iTunes for the android platform which google is also pushing?  Their could be an interesting synergy there.

I just purchased a droid and the biggest thing missing is a robust and easy to use media package.  What if Apple finally wised up and realize it would be better to be the music reseller online to all devices rather than just their own iPod and iPhone line of devices.  Their piece of the online music pie is huge but that pie would be bigger if they opened up.  Android has a lot of momentum and it could be in Apple's favor to sell music to all devices.

Hah! Personally I think it's pretty lame for an airline to put out promos like this.

Amazon Releases Kindle Source Code: Kindle starts eBook fire.

Amazon has released kindle's source code.  Apparently it looks like basic linux stuff but they are uncertain whether the DRM is in there.

The Kindle was used to start the eBook fire!  They just want to sell books.  Silly Geniuses.
